Summary – Tezpur University has displayed a notification for the posts of 11 Research Associate (03), Junior Research Fellow (06), and Lab. Assistant (02) for the ‘Centre of Excellence’ research project entitled funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India entitled “Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation for a Climate Resilient North East India” under the National Mission for Sustaining the Himalayan Ecosystem (NMSHE) under the Principal Investigator Dr. Ashalata Devi, Department of Environmental Science, Tezpur University.

Tezpur University Recruitment – Education Qualification & Fellowship –
RA – Candidates should have acquired Ph.D. in Environmental Science/ Forestry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Agriculture/ Environmental Science/ Physical/ Mathematical. with relevant experience.
Fellowship: Rs.47,000/- (Rupees forty-seven thousand) only per month. 8%HRA will be admissible as per rules if no accommodation is provided by the institute.
JRF – candidates should have M.Sc. with a minimum of 55 % marks or equivalent CGPA in Environmental Science/ Forestry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Ecology any other relevant disciplines with NET/GATE.
Fellowship: Rs.31,000/- (Rupees thirty-one thousand) only per month. 8% HRA as per rules will be admissible if no accommodation is provided by the institute.
Lab Asst. – candidates should have a minimum qualification of Graduate degree in relevant discipline.
Fellowship – Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) only per month. 8% HRA as per rules will be admissible if no accommodation is provided by the institute.
Age Limit –
For posts 1 – The age of the candidates should not be more than 40 years as on the stipulated last date of receiving applications in response to the advertisement.
All Other Posts – candidates’ age limit should not be more than 28 years as of the last date of application.
- The upper age limit may be relaxed as per the Government of India rules.
Tezpur University Recruitment – Selection process –
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview for the final selection. The mode of personal interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates only.
– No TA / DA will be possible for the candidates who participate in the written examination and interview.

About University – Tezpur University is a Central University located in Tezpur in the North-Eastern state of Assam, India, established by an act of Parliament, in 1994. The establishment of Tezpur University is considered to be one of the outcomes of the Assam Accord, along with the establishment of Assam University and the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. The then prime minister of India, P. V. Narasimha Rao, chaired the opening of the university. Initially, the university operated from the premises of the Darrang College, in Tezpur. For a while, it also operated from the Tezpur Law College premises. The land was acquired at Napalm, a suburb, which is about 15 km (9.3 mi) east of Tezpur, an area totaling 262 acres (106 ha). A few months later, the premises of the University was shifted to the present permanent location.
