- RPF (Railway Protection Force): – Railway Protection Force (RPF) is a security force, established by the Railway Protection Force Act, 1957 enacted by the Indian Parliament for “the better protection and security of railway property and passenger area”. It has the power to search, arrest, investigate, and prosecute offenses committed under Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act 1966, The Railways Act, 1989 (amended from time to time).
- RPSF: – Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF), under the Ministry of Railways, is a special security force constituted for the protection of railway passengers and railway property. RPSF is entrusted with the responsibility of protecting the Indian Railways in difficult situations. Under RPSF there are various posts like SI and Constable.

Age Criteria:-
For Constable Post: The candidate’s age limit should be between 18 years to 25 years as of 1st July 2021.
For Sub-Inspector Post: The candidate’s age limit should be between 20 years to 25 years as of 1st July 2021.
– Relaxation in upper age will be applicable as per Railway Govt Rules for SC/ST/OBC/ PH/ Ex-servicemen candidates.
Education Criteria:-
Constable Post: Candidates should have qualified 10th class passed of any recognized institute or Board.
Sub-Inspector Post: Candidates should have passed a Graduation Degree in discipline from a recognized institute/ University.

RPSF Recruitment – Examination Fee:-
Candidate should have to pay the Exam fee which is Rs. 500/- for UR/OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ ST/ Ex-serviceman/ Female/ Minorities/ Economically backward class.

Medical Standard Test:-
The candidates who appear in Document Verification will be sent for a medical exam at Railway Hospitals. They will have to qualify in the medical category ‘B-1’ as prescribed in the Indian Railway Medical Manual. Candidates should not have knock-knee, flat foot, or squint-eyed, and they should not be color blind. Varicose vein shall be considered a temporary disqualification. They must be in good mental and bodily health.

RPF Recruitment – Required Documents:-
The following documents in Original, as well as their self, attested photocopies will be required for verification in respect of candidates who qualify in PET/ PMT.
1. 10th/ SSC/ SSCL certificate as proof of age.
2. Graduation certificate as proof of qualification.
3. Caste certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC candidates) in the format prescribed for employment under Indian Govt.
4. Discharge certificate for Ex-Serviceman.
5. Passport size two copies of the Self-attested color photograph.
6. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the present employer in case of serving Govt. employees.

General Awareness (50 Marks):- Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society, to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experiences as may be expected of any educated person. These paper-related questions are Indian History, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science, etc.
B. Arithmetic (35 marks): Questions on Number Systems, whole numbers, decimal and fractions and relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of table and graphs, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and proportion, etc.
C. General Intelligence & Reasoning (35 Marks): Questions on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem-solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning, etc.
